TEN more points - that’s what Frickley Athletic boss Peter Rinkcavage believes his side need to ensure their Evo-Stik Premier Division status this season.

The Blues sit six points clear of the relegation zone with nine league games and 27 points to play for as the season enters its ‘business end’.

Rinkcavage is confident there will be no end-of-season scrap for safety, something helped by the Blues’ current run of seven matches without defeat, and firmly believes his men will bag the necessary points for survival.

“I think ten points should do it for us,” he said.

“I’m confident we’ll do it from the nine games that we’ve got left this season”

Frickley face runaway leaders Chester FC at the Tech5 Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 3pm), a daunting task, but the Blues boss thinks his side will be up for the challenge.

“They’re the runaway leaders and they’re proving that they’re too good for this division,” he said.

“I think you’re looking at the winners of the league this season so it’s going to be tough for us.

“We’re playing well though, we’re unbeaten in seven and those results aren’t a flash in the pan.”

Rinkcavage is expecting to have striker Peter Knox available for selection, while defender Lincoln Adams is available following a three-match suspension and Grant Darley and Mark Gray will have fitness checks ahead of Saturday’s game.
