FRICKLEY Athletic gave their Evo-Stik Premier Division survival hopes a major boost with a 2-1 victory over Chasetown at the Tech5 Stadium on Saturday.
The Blues went into the game on the back of a disappointing home loss against Kendal Town and had to secure the three points the hard way after going a goal behind.
Richard Davies gave Chasetown the lead after 19 minutes but Grant Darley levelled a minute before half-time with his first goal for the South Elmsall club.
Peter Rinkcavage’s men had to wait until the 83rd minute to bag the winner and it was Jack Watts who was the hero for Frickley.
The win leaves the Blues in 20th and a point from safety ahead of their tough trip to FC United of Manchester on Wednesday night (kick-off 7.45pm).
