FRICKLEY Athletic continue their quest for a first away league win this season when they visit Ilkeston FC today (kick-off 3pm).

The Blues have lost all ten of their Evo-Stik Premier Division matches - although they have won away from home in cup competitions - the latest a 4-1 New Year’s Day defeat at Whitby Town.

A trip to the New Manor Ground provides Frickley with another opportunity to end their frustrating away form.

They will travel to Derbyshire in confident mood thanks to already seeing off mid-table Ilkeston this season with a 2-1 league win at Westfield Lane in September.

Gavin Allott fired in both goals and the Blues’ leading marksman will make the trip to Ilkeston in similar good form thanks to a hat-trick in the 3-3 draw with Rushall Olympic at the weekend.

While Frickley are in the goals, the problems lie in defence and new signing Darren Shirt is set to get his league debut in goal with Tom Woodhead unavailable due to work commitments.
