FRICKLEY Athletic have set-up a unique international link-up with Czech club FK Jindřichův Hradec 1910.
Both clubs celebrated their centenary year last season and have moved to link-up in order to expand their network and share ideas.
Such a link-up is rare in non-league, especially in the Evo-Stik Premier League, and the Blues will be hoping it works to their advantage.
Frickley marketing manager Chris Johns said: “We are delighted to be able to link up with FK J. Hradec 1910. We hope to build a good relationship with them and hopefully share some useful ideas and practices.
“Both clubs are in a similar position in terms of resources so we’re not expecting huge things from the link up straight away but as our relationship grows we can hopefully work towards furthering the partnership. It is quite a unique thing for a non-league club to have so we’re delighted to be able to establish this affiliation”.
The Czech club play in the 5th tier of the Czech Republic football league system in the South Bohemia regional section.
They play their matches in the town of Hradec Králové, which lies approximately 75 miles east of the Czech capital Prague, and has a population of around 95,000.
