FRICKLEY Athletic will aim to bounce back from the disappointing home defeat against Ossett Town at the weekend with victory over Retford United at the Tech5 Stadium tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Blues could have received a big boost in the battle against relegation from the Evo-Stik Premier Division with a victory over Town which would have seen them move out of the relegation zone.

But Jamie Hopcutt’s first-half strike gave Town, managed by former Blues boss Phil Sharpe, a crucial three points.

But Peter Rinkcavage’s men have the chance to offer an immediate response against basement-dwelling Retford in South Elmsall tonight.

Victory, which would be Frickley’s first at home since November, would pull the Blues out of the bottom four.

Frickley are set to include new signing Bradley Grayson in their squad for tonight’s match.

The 18-year-old has joined the Blues on work experience from npower Championship side Doncaster Rovers.

He was on Rovers’ bench for their recent league matches against Ipswich Town and Norwich City, but his only first team appearance came in the League Cup clash with Accrington Stanley.
