FRICKLEY Athletic will have a tough task of progressing to the last four of the Sheffield and Hallam Senior Cup when they host Sheffield FC tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

Blues boss Peter Rinkcavage is keen to progress in a competition which is close to his heart but will have several first-team players unavailable for the clash.

Rinkcavage, who won the competition during his time as manager of Stocksbridge Park Steels, will have Glyn Cotton, James Ashmore and Jack Watts unavailable due to the trio being cup-tied.

Danny Walsh is unavailable due to work commitments, Gavin Smith and Paul Lister weren’t signed in time and Doncaster Rovers’ on-loan striker Brad Grayson is injured.

The Blues also have injury doubts over Mark Whitehouse and Simon Sturdy.

Frickley have already faced the Division 1 side twice this season, drawing 1-1 at Sheffield in the FA Cup 3rd qualifying round before losing the replay at the Tech5 Stadium 2-1.

As well as cup progression, Rinkcavage will also be keen to continue the momentum from an impressive 2-2 home draw against promotion-chasing Buxton on home soil at the weekend.
