HEMSWORTH MW are looking for a new manager after the club today confirmed Wayne Benn’s departure to Evo-Stik Division 1 North side Goole AFC.

Benn will return to the Victoria Pleasure Grounds, where he spent part of his playing career, to replace John Reed as first team boss.

Andy Hayward has also left the MDC Sports Stadium to continue as Benn’s assistant.

Their last match at the club came on Saturday when Hemsworth fell to a 4-2 defeat at home against Dinnington Town.

“Having been at the club for eighteen months now along with his assistant, Andy Hayward, Wayne and Andy have decided to leave for pastures new with Evo-Stik side Goole AFC,” read a Hemsworth MW statement.

“They have both done a fantastic job and have carried on keeping the club’s name on the Non-League Pyramid. This was a very hard decision for them both to make.

“We as a club wish them the very best of luck and thank them for all their hard work.”

Coach Daryl Bowman will take temporary charge of the team for Tuesday night’s league match against Bottesford in Fitzwilliam but the search for a new permanent boss has started.

Anyone interested in the job can send their CV and cover letter to the club secretary via post or email. Contact the club on 01977 614997 for more information.
