BILLY Heath is preparing his Frickley troops for their first match in six weeks with a trip to high-flying North Ferriby United on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
The heavy snowfall and ice over the Christmas and New Year period saw all of Frickley's UniBond Premier Division matches since Saturday, December 12, postponed.
And with the weather this week showing a marked improvement, the Blues are set to return to action on Saturday with a tough trip to the promotion hopefuls.
"North Ferriby had their game on at the weekend so I see no reason why it should be called off this weekend, especially with the improvement in the weather," said Heath.
"It's going to be a tough game, they're a team who like to get the ball down on the surface and play football and they'll be high in confidence.
"They've had some match practice thanks to a few of their games going ahead when ours haven't so they'll be fully ready for the game.
"But we just have to get on with it and give everything that we can.
"We need to be at the top of our game and press them all over the pitch, and if we run out of steam we run out of steam, there's nothing we can do about that with little match practice."
Steve Heath will serve a one-match suspension for Frickley.
But Lee Booth, sidelined for the last three months through injury, could make a welcome return to action.
