FRICKLEY Athletic will face another weekend without competitive action after the UniBond Premier Division clash with Ossett Town was postponed this morning.
Blues officials inspected the Tech5 Stadium pitch this morning but declared that there was "no chance" of the match, which was a proverbial relegation six pointer, going ahead on Saturday.

It means Frickley haven't played a match in the Premier Division since Saturday, December 12 due to the recent heavy snowfall and sub-zero temperatures.

In light of the current cold snap, the UniBond League have allowed home clubs to inspect their pitch a day before the game without an inspection from the referee.

A date is yet to be rearranged for the match, but keep checking www.hemsworthandsouthelmsallexpress.co.uk and Thursday's paper for full updates.

See Thursday's Hemsworth and South Elmsall Express for all the latest news on the Blues, and the rest of the sport from around the area.
