Hundreds of people are preparing for an emotional walk in memory of loved ones at this year’s Prince of Wales Hospice Memory Walk.
The annual walk, which has raised more than £70,000 for the hospice over the last seven years, will take place in the grounds of Nostell Priory on Saturday, April 26, at 10.30am.
Entrants can decide to walk on the 10km parkland route or a 2.5km lakeside route.
Organisers hope this year’s walk will raise more than £15,000 for the Pontefract hospice.
Emma Priestley, hospice fundraiser, said: “We’re very excited about the memory walk. Everyone has their own reason for taking part, some to celebrate the life of a loved one and others to get active and support their local charity.”
Entry costs £7 for adults or £4 for under 16s for either of the two routes.
