Pontefract residents have a sweet treat in store when the annual liquorice festival returns to the town next month.
The event, hosted by Wakefield Council, takes place on Sunday, July 13 and will see the town centre transformed into a haven for candy connoisseurs.
Lucy Liquorice will be welcoming visitors to the event, which will include free family workshops and more than 70 market stalls.
Liquorice jewellery making, puppet shows, and face painting are just some of the events that will be on offer.
There will also be street entertainment, craft stalls and face painting.
The event will run in and around the town centre from 10am until 4pm.
Entry is free but there will be a charge for rides.
