LIFE was a picnic for youngsters as they tried their hands at making their very own teddy bears.
Around fifteen children visited Little Owl’s Children Centre on Friday to take part in the fun craft activity.
They cut out bear shapes from cardboard and then fastened them together with split pins to bring them to life.
Then coloured pens, glitter and glue were plentiful as they decorated their animals. They then got to play with toys at the centre.
This was the first session after the summer holidays and Vicky Sutton, who works at the centre on Common Road, South Kirkby, said she was pleased so many children had come along.
She said: “The children really enjoyed their day and then got to take their new creations homes at the end of it.”
The centre is holding a baby massage session later this month. Call 01977 723868 for more details.
