Dedicated strongmen from across the country will descend on South Elmsall in April in a bid to be crowned the four nations masters team event champions.

Three strongmen teams will compete against each other in categories during the contest, organised by Hulk’s Strongman Division at Frickley Athletic FC, which hosted the Yorkshire’s Strongest Man contest (pictured) in 2014.

The event will include a dead lift, farmer’s walk, tug of war and atlas stones.

Mark Anglesea, Hulks Strongman Division organiser, said: “We make spectators very welcome and contribute to events being family orientated, plus the athletes love the encouragement and support.”

There will be a bar and refreshments available plus stalls promoting clothing, supplements, training equipment and sponsorship promotion.

The event will take place at Frickley Athletic’s ground at Westfield Lane in South Elmsall on Sunday, April 5. The gates open at 11am and the competition starts at noon.

Tickets cost £5 and are available on the day at the ground. For more information visit www.hulks-strongman.co.uk
