Traditional pantomime Mother Goose will have audiences quacking with joy when it comes to Pontefract next week.
St Giles’ and St Mary’s Pantomime Society is staging the show, for one week only, at Pontefract Town Hall from Monday, January 12 until Saturday January 17.
The show will feature Eric Arundell in the title role of warm-hearted goose farmer Mother Goose, with principal girl Ellie Lightowler as Jill and long-standing principal boy Alison Knox as Colin.
Magical Goose Priscilla will be played by Adam Lovell who will take on his first principal role for the part.
Society chairwoman Jeannette Morgan said: “It’s the traditional pantomime of Mother Goose with all the usual pantomime laughs but it has an air of sadness as well.
“We have been rehearsing since September and we have a strong team that have really pulled together for it.
“I hope people will come along and enjoy this family performance.”
Tickets for the show are now on sale and can be bought from St Giles’ Church, Pontefract, on Wednesday from 10am til 1pm and Friday and Saturday from 10am til noon.
