LESSONS were put on hold at Brierley Church of England J & I School as children got creative.
The youngsters were mixed into groups rather than classes to work together on Bonfire Night themed arts and crafts last Tuesday.
Textbooks and rulers were exchanged for tissue paper and felt-tip pens as the children created Bonfire Night scenes.
Headteacher Mike Reed said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed it and some of the stuff they have been making is really good.
“The idea is that it provides opportunities for the children to co-operate with other children and the older ones were all helping the younger children too.”
