A terracotta angel, which was stolen from outside South Elmsall Spiritualist Church during last Sunday’s service, has been found.
The statue, which stands about two to three feet tall, was found on Albany Crescent in South Elmsall.
Betty Paxman, a member of the church congregation, said: “We couldn’t believe it. It was a wonderful surprise. We’re absolutely over the moon.”
South East Neighbourhood Policing Team said on its Facebook page: “This property was recovered with the help of community intelligence.
“We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your information.”
