Spooky goings-on took place in the Hemsworth and South Elmsall area to keep youngsters scared during the Halloween half term last week.
Children went to a bewitching fancy dress Halloween party at Hemsworth Town Council Community Centre.
Little witches and Dracula took part in fun games, Halloween arts and crafts and a pumpkin competition at the centre on Bullenshaw Road.
Those who were daring enough also took part in arts and craft activities at South Elmsall Library.
Fancy dress wearing visitors made witches, bats, spiders and cauldrons and enjoyed puzzles, quizzes and a colouring competition.
Marcia Adey, customer service supervisor at the library, said: “The event was really successful.
“More than 25 children, some in fancy dress, attended and made lots of different Halloween crafts including masks, cats and spiders.
“We didn’t expect so many to turn up.
“I’d like to thank all of the children for coming.”
