Women were dancing in the streets this week to show off the new Race For Life warm-up routine.
Cancer Research UK’s annual run will be held at Leeds Road Playing Fields in Pontefract this Summer. This year’s warm-up, called the Cancer Slam, is a simple dance of defiance.
Women and girls are being encouraged to not only get dancing but to sign up soon for the Race for Life.
The race, in partnership with Tesco, is a series of 5k and 10k events which raises millions of pounds every year to help beat cancer.
Every day, around 76 people are diagnosed with cancer in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
So women of all shapes and sizes are needed to join together and give cancer the boot by entering the event at 10.30am on July 20. To enter Race for Life events in Yorkshire and the Humberside, visit www.raceforlife.org or call 0845 600 6050.
