Remembrance Day services this weekend

PARADES will be held in Hemsworth and South Elmsall on Sunday to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice defending their country in the line of duty.

The Remembrance Day parade in Hemsworth will begin at 9.30am at the Community Centre, on Bullenshaw Road, before heading to St Helen’s Church for a service and returning to the Community Centre for the salute.

Meanwhile, the South Elmsall parade will leave the United Services Club at 10.30am and there will be a service at the War Memorial at 11am.

Following the service of remembrance, the parade will proceed to St Mary’s Church for the church service.
