Hundreds of scooters and motorbikes will gather at Glass Houghton’s Xscape entertainment complex to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Pontefract and Knottingley neighbourhood police team (NPT) has joined forces with Pontefract Scooter Club for the third annual event on Sunday, September 27.

Bikers will meet at Xscape at 11am before setting off on a 25-mile parade around the area, complete with police escort, arriving at the Hope and Anchor pub, North Baileygate, in Pontefract for a fun day and live entertainment.

PC Ian Heaslip, of the Pontefract and Knottingley NPT, said: “Everyone is welcome and if people can’t make the bike ride come they can join us later at the Hope and Anchor to raise as much money as possible for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.”

All riders will pay £3 each to take part in the ride which will be donated to the air ambulance.

There will also be a raffle and other events to raise cash at the Hope and Anchor pub.
