Frickley Athletic manager Karl Rose has boosted his side’s attacking options with the signing of prolific striker James Walshaw on a month’s loan from Bradford Park Avenue.

The 31-year-old will initially stay with the Blues until Saturday, February 13.

Walshaw has plenty of experience in the upper reaches of non-league football after starting out at Ossett Town and moving on to Leek Town, Farsley Celtic (then in the Conference North), Wakefield FC and Guiseley where he won the Northern Premier League title and a Northern Premier League Cup winners medal.

He then moved on to Darlington and had a loan spell at FC Halifax Town before returning to Guiseley and then moving on to Altrincham where he left at the end of the 2013-14 season.

A season at Harrogate Town followed before he joined Bradford Park Avenue in May 2015.
