A sea of pink ladies ran for their and others’ lives at Pontefract Park on Sunday.
The annual Race for Life was held at the park on July 21, with a 5km and 10km track following the line of the racecourse before taking participants past the lake and across park land.
More than 2,000 women and girls and also plenty of pooches decorated in pink took part in the event – running, jogging, walking, skipping and wheeling the course.
See the video to see the start of the race – if you were in the running and jogging section you may spot yourself!
And see this week’s Express for a full round-up of the event, pictures of hundreds of participants and the names of every single person signed up to take part.
The Express will donate 1p from every copy sold this week to Cancer Research UK in celebration of the Race for Life.
