Police appeal for witnesses after South Kirkby assault

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an assault in South Kirkby yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).

A 16-year-old youth was found collapsed outside an address on Grove Mount at around 2.15pm with injuries suggesting he had been assaulted.

He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary to be treated for a serious head injury and remains in a stable condition in hospital.

Detectives are investigating and have arrested two males in connection with the incident.

They would also like to speak to a man and woman in a light or bronze coloured car who are believed to have stopped at the scene.
