A NEW food store set to open in South Elmsall tomorrow is set to create jobs for the community.
The Jack Fultons store will be based at the site of the former Plough pub, Barnsely Road, and will open on Friday, June 29, creating nine jobs.
Mike Hinchcliffe, commercial manager at Fultons Foods, said: “The new Fultons Foods store represents a significant investment for the business and a welcome boost for the local high street, which will create of up to nine new jobs in the area.
“It’s a welcome return to the area for Fultons Foods as we had until recently traded a store in neighbouring Hemsworth and we know our customers have really missed the famously low prices and fantastic deals we have to offer.
“It’s good to be back in this community servicing their shopping requirements and saving them money.”
Barnsley Road had temporary traffic lights directing traffic last week to install a new power supply to the shop in time for its opening this week.
The road works caused a number of delays, but many have told the Express they think the inconvenience is worth it if it brings new business and jobs to the area.
