A FORMER star of morning television was in Hemsworth to open a new massage and therapy centre.

Former TV-am weather presenter Wincey Willis opened the new Colin Dobson Therapy centre at the Community Centre, on Bullenshaw Road, on Saturday, November 17.

Ms Willis, who also adjudicated on game show Treasure Hunt, opened the centre along with Hemsworth Town Council chairman Coun Tony Upson.

She said: “I’m sure these facilities will prove really popular with the community.

“I’m only jealous that I’m not one of Colin’s clients already.”

The new facility offers sports massage, injury treatment and prevention, along with therapeutic massages such as Indian head massages.

Owner and Express Grassroots columnist Colin Dobson said: “I am really pleased with it so far and the council have been brilliant with me. It’s good that they are finally starting to rent these rooms out.”

Mr Dobson, has been trained as a personal trainer for around ten years and previously offered massage treatments as a freelance before securing his new base.

He also offers personal training and runs several fitness classes in the exercise studio at the Community Centre.

Mr Dobson added: “It made perfect sense to open the therapy centre right here in the Community Centre. Clients can use either facilities without having to travel too far.”
