Top band play gig
CHART topping indie rockers Razorlight have announced they will headline Pontefract’s hottest new music event, Crooked Ways.
The internationally acclaimed four-piece - whose hits include America, In the Morning and Golden Touch - will play to almost 14,000 music fans during the one-day festival on May 26.
This will be the band’s first live appearance of 2012 and coincides with studio work on their long-anticipated fourth album.
A spokesman for the band said: “We’re really looking forward to playing Crooked Ways.
“By May we’ll have been in the studio for weeks recording the new album so we’ll be really excited to be outside playing a big show.
“It’s what we do best. Should be a great day.”
Razorlight - who bounced onto the music scene in 2004 with their debut album Up All Night - will be joined by an exciting roster of both local and world-famous artists at Pontefract Park.
Further line-up announcements will be made over the next few weeks.
Tickets are available from.crookedways.co.uk and priced £30.
