Superdrug staff 'angry' at costcutting plans and more from this week's Express

'ANGRY' factory workers could lose almost £2,000 each in annual pay if costcutting plans at a South Elmsall distribution centre go ahead.

In the series of proposed changes warehouse shift workers at Superdrug, on Stadium Way, will no longer receive 2 extra per hour for working unsociable hours between 6pm and 10pm.

The extra wage used to be paid to staff who worked between 6pm and 6am but will now only be given to night workers who start at 10pm.

For those working five days a week, and taking five weeks of annual holiday into account, it would work out as a loss of 1,840 a year.

For the rest of the proposals and reaction to the plans see this week's Hemsworth and South Elmsall Express.
