Your local team attended at addresses in Kinsley and South Elmsall over the last week where they discovered cannabis farms.
I would like to thank the local communities for continuing to pass us good local intelligence. As I have said before we will follow up on all the information we receive. The successes we have in relation to these issues are down to you.
There have been longstanding issues in relation to motorists ignoring the one way restrictions on Westfield Road at Hemsworth. People who ignore these put local people and other motorists in danger and we will be conducting additional patrols where we will prosecute offenders. There is a longer term solution in the pipeline where the road will be closed off.
On Tuesday, October 23, it will be the South East Area Forum at Hemsworth community centre. This is an opportunity to come along and meet people from various agencies who work in the local area.
The event includes presentations on local working and has a question and answer session. It will be chaired by councillor Alan Garbutt, one of the elected members for Ward 1.
