Men arrested in Hemsworth after police chase

TWO men were arrested in Hemsworth last night after a police chase.

Officers from North Yorkshire Police attempted to stop the pair, who were in a Peugot van, near Darrington.

But they sped off towards Hemsworth.

The van collided with another car on the Hemsworth by-pass at around 10.20pm.

A 27-year-old and a 26-year old, both from the Kinsley area, were arrested on suspicion of the theft of a motor-vehicle, dangerous driving and failing to stop.
