Man injured in Hemsworth crash

A MAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Hemsworth.

The crash involved a car and a motorbike and took place at 1.55pm today (Monday) at Hemsworth Road and Barnsley Road roundabout.

Police said a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but that the injuries were not life threatening.

The road was closed and traffic diverted.

Kirkby Road, which leads on to Hemsworth Road, was also closed earlier today for police investigations after an assault at 1.30am.
