Mad scientists invade school

YOUNG scientists got experimental last week with a visit from mad scientists.

The pupils at Upton Primary learnt about dinosaurs and the chemistry in food in a visit from Mad Science.

The scientific company visits schools with scientific workshops with the aim to get pupils interested in the subject.

Children also learnt about forensics and took part in an interactive assembly.

Sam Simpson, science co-ordinator at the school, said: “It was all to make science more interesting and exciting for them.

“It helps them to be hands on and get involved in learning and the children really enjoyed it - it was great.”
