Last chance to be the Express Look of 2009
THERE is just one week left for you to enter if you think you have what it takes to become the district's next top model.
The Look of 2009 is our annual competition which gives one man and one woman from the district a chance to shine.
As well as a holiday in the sun, the winners also receive an introduction to modelling from a top agency and a host of photoshoots
for our newspapers and magazines.
So if you want the opportunity to prove that you have what it takes, then you need to send in your details without delay.
This great competition is run in conjunction with our principal sponsors Philips Hair Salons and Mustang Sally's, together with
the invaluable support of Wella Hair Studios, the Cedar Court
Hotel and the Louise Morton Modelling Agency.
You can enter via the Look Of 2009 section on our homepage or by filling in the form printed in today's paper. All entried must be received by Thursday, July 9.
After this there will be two rounds of voting which will narrow down the field to a final ten women and six men, who will contest the final at Mustang on Tuesday, September 15.
Our compere for the evening will be the BBC's Clare Frisby.
Courtesy of Philips, which has recently opened its new salon in Durkar, all the female finalists will be taken to the Wella Studios in Manchester for a complete makeover on Sunday, September 6.
The prize package in total is:
Winners: Introduction to Modelling with the Louise Morton Modelling Agency; photoshoots for the Yorkshire Weekly Newspaper Group; 250 holiday voucher; a year's free hairdressing at Philips; Cedar Court leisure club membership; and 100 beauty voucher at Philips for the female winner.
Finalists: Makeover and photo shoot at Wella Studios in Manchester; Wella product goody bags.
All entrants: 10 gift voucher for Philips Hair Salons.
Please note, finalists must be available both during the day of September 6 and the afternoon and evening of September 15.
