CHILDREN from Kinsley Primary School got the chance to horse around when police visited school.
Two members of the West Yorkshire Police Mounted session called in last Wednesday, and the children got the chance to get up close and personal with the horses.
Year two pupil Harley Walsh, six, met Clifton, who is an active part of the police force.
Di Carey, administration officer at the school, said: “It was absolutely fabulous. The children really enjoyed it. And the weather was really for us too because we thought it might have to be cancelled with the rain earlier in the day.”
The children also had a question and answer session with the police officers and were told about the work the horses do.
Mrs Dale said: “The horses went up to the nursery side of the school too and they were able to get right up to them and the horses peered over.
“It was really good and very much enjoyed by all. The kids said they liked how big they were and the way they wobble their lips.”
