Girl, eight, left with head injuries after Kinsley crash

An eight-year-old girl was taken to hospital with suspected head injuries following a collision in Kinsley.

The incident involving a Landrover happened outside the Kinsley Hotel on Wakefield Road at 5.17pm on Saturday March 16.

The child was treated at the scene before being taken to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield. The driver of the vehicle was unhurt.

A police spokesman said later medical reports showed the child’s injuries were not thought to be serious. No arrests have been made.
