Gang of three arrested after street attack in South Elmsall

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two men were attacked in South Elmsall during the early hours of New Years Day.

Two 26-year-old men were walking along Westfield Lane when they were assaulted by a group of other men, sometime between 5am and 6am on Tuesday.

Three men aged 18, 23 and 24-years-old have been arrested on suspicion of assault and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Detectives said that officers were carrying out high-visibility patrols in the area and investigations were ongoing.
