A COST-conscious South Elmsall family is in the running to be crowned the most money savvy in a national competition.

The Stenton family, of Caddon Avenue, have always tried to save cash for themselves and friends and family by searching for the best deals.

And now they are offering their tips in a six-week blog as part of the competition run by Nectar.

They are one of just six families chosen out of more than 1,000 to win prizes, including Easyjet flights to any destination, a £500 Sainsbury’s giftcard, £500 worth of BP fuel and 50,000 Nectar points.

To win, they have to get the most views of their blog and offer the best tips.

Dad Dean Stenton, 42, said: “I have always liked shopping around for the best deals and friends are always surprised by how much I can save. So I thought about writing a leaflet with my tips on for them, but saw this competition and thought it would be perfect. I just hope we can win.”
