Free sport this weekend

Follow on from Britain’s Olympic and Paralympic success in the pool this summer and make a splash for yourself for free.

Wakefield Council is offering free sports activities across the district this weekend, with swimming, golf and even canoe or kayak free of charge.

Minsthorpe Swimming Pool has free sessions between 8.30am and 1.15pm on Saturday and 8.30am and 1pm on Sunday.

There is also a free Splash Zone Fun swim on Saturday between 1.30pm and 2.30pm as well as sessions in the learner pool.

There is no need to book and places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
