Foster carers needed

WAKEFIELD Council is asking potential foster carers and people interested in adopting a child to get in touch with them.

Coun Olivia Rowley, cabinet member for children and young people, said: “We need committed and enthusiastic people who can provide a safe and caring home, whether permanently or for a short time.

“If you have room in your heart and room in your home then please pick up the phone and find out what fostering and adoption involves. This commits you to nothing, but could offer the opportunity of a lifetime.”

Those looking to take the first steps in fostering or adoption need to be over 21 and have space in their home.
