An entertainer who has worked on some of the biggest cruise liners in the world has returned to his roots.
Mark Simpson - who is originally from South Elmsall - travelled the world singing and dancing for holidaymakers for 12 years.
But now the 42-year-old has returned home and to teach Zumba dancing.
It is based on Latin American-style moves with a combination of any six basic routines.
Mr Simpson, of Cambridge Street, trained for three years at the Northern Ballet School when he was 16-years-old.
He said: “Once you get to know the basic routines, we just put them together in different ways - it’s a bit like pick and mix.
“It can be as easy or as difficult as people want it to be. But it is really fun.”
He is offering the classes at the Social Centre, on Westfield Lane, St Mary’s Church, on Doncaster Road, South Elmsall Community Centre, Hemsworth Community Centre, Bullenshaw Road, and All Saint’s Church, South Kirkby.
He said Zumba dancing was a great way to make friends and get fit at the same time.
For more information about classes including dates and times, call Mr Simpson on 07805 663 980.
