Car crush threat in South Elmsall - and more from this week's Express

BOY RACERS run the risk of having their vehicles crushed if they continue to 'harass, alarm and distress' other users of a busy car park.

Police are taking action after receiving reports of youths boozing, littering and speeding around South Elmsall's market car park, on Barnsley Road.

PC Terry Davies, from South Kirkby neighbourhood police team (NPT), has warned it is only a matter of time before a 'serious accident' occurs.

Police plan to hand out Section 59 warnings to offenders – which are used to combat motorists who use their vehicles to harass, alarm or distress others and can lead to vehicles being seized and crushed.
