POLICE have warned residents they are cracking down on cannabis farms after busting yet another in the Express area.

The South East neighbourhood police team arrested a 52-year-old man after finding five large plants at his home on Victoria Street, Hemsworth.

He received a caution.

They also cautioned a 29-year-old for possession of cannabis at Wortley Place, also in Hemsworth.

Police sergeant Katy Woodmason, said: “The team will deal with all reports of cannabis in a positive manner.

“If anyone has any information please contact your local police and information will be dealt with confidentially.”
