A PLANNING application has been submitted to demolish a disused warehouse in South Elmsall.

Network Rail has applied to Wakefield Council for permission to pull down the derelict building on Station Road, close to South Elmsall Train Station.

The warehouse has been damaged by fire and is unstable in places. Network Rail is not planning to rebuild or develop on the site.

The application is currently pending consideration by Wakefield Council.
