Big-hearted Abigail’s charity hair chop

MOST children pester their parents for toys or sweets, but all little Abigail Nicholson wanted was to have her lovely long locks chopped off so she could help a child who had lost their hair through cancer treatment.

The nine-year-old from South Kirkby had hair down to her waist up until last month, when she had eight inches chopped off for the Little Princess Trust. It will be used to make a real-hair wig.

Proud mum Kay, of Church Drive, said: “She was nervous, but absolutely loves her new do.

“She did a big reveal at school and all her friends were really shocked, but they love it too.”
