A1 to be closed overnight for resurfacing works

Motorists could face delays this weekend due to an overnight road closure.

The A1(M) northbound carriageway will be closed from Saturday at 8pm to Sunday at 6am for resurfacing works to take place.

The motorway will be closed between Darrington and Barnsdale Bar and local diversions will be in place.

The southbound carriageway will be closed on the same stretch next Saturday, March 9 from 8pm until 6am on Sunday, March 10.
