84-year-old woman threatened at knifepoint

AN 84-year-old woman was threatened at knifepoint during an armed robbery in Kinsley.

The incident happened last Saturday evening at an address in the Kinsley area.

The suspect made off with property from the address after threatening the elderly woman with a knife.

Police officers from the local neighbourhood police team attended and arrested a youth a short distance away.

This youth was subsequently charged with an offence.

He is currently remanded in custody in a young offenders' institution.
