A South Kirkby teen has been crowned Miss West Yorkshire Inspiration.
Nineteen-year-old Georgina Freeman beat hundreds of hopefuls to take the top spot in the beauty pageant.
She will now compete in the finals of Miss Inspiration UK in March next year.
Miss Freeman, of Carr View, said: “I entered Miss Inspiration because it didn’t seem like the ‘if your face fits’ pageant like you see on TV.
“Everyone involved who I have spoken to so far is so genuine. I think every girl will admit they have their flaws and that realistically no one is perfect like these so called American beauty queens.”
As part of her Miss West Yorkshire Inspiration duties, Miss Freeman – a trainee legal secretary for Chadwick and Lawrence Solicitors – has to take part in fundraising, charity work and appearances.
She recently attended the Dogs Trust open day in Leeds .
She said: “I’m a classic Yorkshire girl through and through, right down to the accent.
“When I was told my application was successful and that the pageant judges wanted me in the final I was absolutely overjoyed.
“To me Miss Inspiration is more about what is on the inside rather that what you look like.
“I just hope that I can live up to expectations and do West Yorkshire proud.”
