Staff at a charity shop in South Elmsall are calling on people to help raise funds by donating their unwanted furniture.
British Red Cross has seen a fall in the number of donations at its Barnsley Road store.
The charity, which provides emergency relief for people in crisis across the world, is also looking for more volunteers to give up their time and work in the store.
Betty Paxman, who volunteers in the shop, said: “We got a lot of donations just after Christmas when people were having a clear out but it seems to have really dried up at the moment.
“We’re also looking for more volunteers to help out in the store. I work two days a week and really enjoy having a chat with the customers and the social side of it.
“The charity means a lot me because it provides support to anybody that needs it all over the world.”
