The NHS is urging people across Yorkshire to give blood this summer before they head off on their holidays.

Blood stocks reduce during the summer months as people enjoy the warm weather and have less time to donate, but the health service remains reliant on 7,000 people giving blood every day across England and North Wales.

There is particularly strong demand for those with blood groups B Rh negative and O Rh negative.
