The M1 motorway near Wakefield will be closed overnight as work to upgrade it continues.
The southbound carriageway will be closed between junction 42 at Lofthouse and junction 41 at Carr Gate on Saturday and Sunday night.
The closure will be in place from 8pm to 6am on both nights.
Clearly-signed diversions will be in place.
The Highways Agency are carrying out a £120m scheme to upgrade the carriageway to a ‘managed motorway.’
The scheme, which is due to be completed by September next year, will see hard shoulders become permanent lanes in both directions, between junction 39 at Durkar and junction 42 at Lofthouse, with the aim of increasing capacity and easing congestion.
There will also be overnight slip road closures as part of the works.
The southbound exit slip at junction 39 at Durkar will also be closed tonight.
Additionally, both the southbound exit slip and northbound entry slip at junction 41 at Carr Gate will be closed overnight tonight and on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night.
All closures will be in place from 8pm to 6am.
Diversions will be in place.
