A man indecently exposed himself to two girls at Kirkgate railway station.

And British Transport Police (BTP) have released these images of a man they would like to trace in connection with the incident, which took place on Sunday, May 18.

Detective Constable Jacqui Wilson, of BTP Leeds, said: “Just before midday, two girls – aged 12 and 13 – entered the station and headed towards platform two, via the subway. While stood in a passenger shelter on the platform a man approached them and began to touch himself inappropriately. A short time later he indecently exposed himself to the girls and then left the station.”

“The two girls, both from the local area, were understandably very upset by the incident. They did they right thing and phoned for help and we have been providing support to them and their family since the incident.”

Officers have been pursuing several lines of enquiry, including speaking to local residents and business owners.

After the incident, the victims spoke to a member of the public at the station, who detectives are also keen to get in touch with.

Det cons Wilson added: “Due to the girls’ age, this incident is very concerning for us and we are doing all we can to find the man responsible. BTP is absolutely committed to stamping out unwanted sexual behaviour from our transport network and we take all reports seriously.”
